DLR Life Report Update (4/10/14) | We Moved to Disneyland!! Now What…?

Chapter 152
Final Boarding Call

Having seen Duffy, we were ready to leave DCA, but we walked through Condor Flats on the way out. Minnie’s Fly Girls had just started, and we knew that this was the second to last day it was ever going to be playing. While we’d walked past the show a number of times, we’d never really stopped to watch, and we figured we’d better stick around since this was going to be our last chance.

I thought the show was really fun and cute. It’s always a bummer to see entertainment taken away from the parks, and it’s even more disappointing when they don’t replace it with something else.

After the show, we exited DCA and waited in line to get into Disneyland. I took a few more pictures of the pumpkin heads while we waited.

It was already getting toward the end of October and I hadn’t gotten a birthday button yet (Tracy had worn hers throughout the entire month of January), so I went to City Hall and picked one up.

Once in the park, we started back toward Tomorrowland, and we noticed that there were a few Stormtroopers out in front of Star Tours. I don’t think we’d ever really seen Stormtroopers in the parks, so we thought this was cool.

It was time for Space Mountain, so that’s where we went next.

I did my best scared face for the picture and Tracy hid behind the Duffy pillow pet.

After surviving our encounter with the ghost (barely), we got a time for Haunted Mansion and then walked over toward Big Thunder Ranch. There wasn’t really anyone out for us to pet, so we went back into the Jamboree instead. I loved this Cheshire Cat pumpkin.

This one looks familiar from the front of the park.

And this one had Zero, which is always a plus.

This Rapunzel one was pretty cool too.

Policeman Chip happened to walk by us while we were looking at the pumpkins, and I grabbed him to pose.

After we were done in the Jamboree, we walked along Big Thunder Trail toward the rest of Frontierland. We noticed that there was a great view of the Mark Twain from this seating area that we’d never noticed before.
